Big Words

If life’s challenging pages turned too soon, how could you learn all they have to offer?

That is a question I posed yesterday on Twitter and wanted to expound upon it a bit more. We all have challenging periods of life. If you don’t, I need to hang out with you. Seriously though, living life is like reading a book. If you never had a book with any challenging words, you’d still be reading Old McDonald at the age of 25. The hard words make you a strong reader which translates into a stronger communicator and, ultimately a more well-rounded person. The same is true for life. Your tough days build character which develops integrity and integrity pays off in the long run.

So, I wouldn’t dare say stay on a challenging page any longer than you must. But don’t complain. You never know what you might learn as you struggle with a big word.
