As we enter the heart of the holiday season, many of us are looking for a way to give back but we just don’t know how. Well, why not come out to Suit Up’s fashion tonight at 6:00PM at the Carole Hoefner Community Center in uptown Charlotte?
Suit Up is a Charlotte-based organization focused on assisting veterans and men in transition to develop necessary skills to secure gainful employment. I volunteer with them, reviewing résumés, hosting workshops on professional development, and I will soon be creating a blog for them so that lessons learned will not be easily forgotten.
Not only is your attendance supporting an amazing nonprofit organization, it’s also a way to see some of my #WellDressedWednesday posts put to work. The gentlemen modeling in the show will be men in transition and veterans who have benefitted from Suit Up’s haberdashery, styling the clothes that have helped them become more successful. In addition, there will be a live music and a special tribute to the armed forces, as multiple branches of the military will be represented on the runway.
I am truly looking forward to serving as one of the two Masters of Ceremony for this event and I hope you can make it out. For details, see the flyer below or visit http://suitupcharlotte.org. And make sure you follow @SuitUpCharlotte on Twitter for upcoming events and ways you can continue to support the impact they are making on this city, state, and nation.
See you tonight!
