The Drain

Some people will spend their entire lives doing what they have to do and not questioning it one bit. They will say things like “That’s just the way it is,” when their kids ask why they get no enjoyment from their jobs. But for those of us who question things, wasting time is pointless. Me knowing that my time here is finite makes me want to make the most of every moment. Sitting in a job that will not contribute to my legacy is draining and, if I do get caught doing it to make ends meet, at the same time, I need to be working twice as hard to reach my goals. I’d rather be tired from working twice as hard than drained from seeing no light at the end of the tunnel. Do what you must now so you can do what others cannot later.
