So, today is my first full day ever on the west coast of the US and it has been pretty awesome. Desirée and I flew out of RDU International yesterday at 4:50 PM EST and arrived at LAX International at 7:10 PM PST.
After settling in at the hotel, we went out for dinner at this cool Eighties-styled restaurant called The Standard. I had an AWESOME burger that I’m going to replicate when I get home. After dinner, we had drinks on the rooftop of The Standard and then turned in for the night.
This morning we woke up and had breakfast by this cool fireplace in the hotel’s lounge and then we were on our way. Because this trip was an early birthday surprise, I didn’t have a clue about the itinerary. Desirée ended up taking me horseback riding through the Hollywood hills. Now, I’m not usually one for heights (the horses wanted to stare over the edge at steep drops… Who does that?!?) but it was a great experience and I had a ton of fun. My horse, named Cherokee, was super cool and was the breed that many Native American tribes preferred for their warriors to ride. Cool, right?
