Who Will You Meet?

Who will you meet today? Not who are you meeting for lunch or for an appointment. Who will you meet for the first time? Your future spouse while you open the door for him/her? The person who will introduce you to your future mentor? We never know who we are going to meet on any given day. I don’t know about you all but I know I haven’t met everyone who I need to in order to be successful. So, the days I don’t want to put on a real shirt or give a smile, I do. The past month, I took a break from writing because I was genuinely exhausted. Posting five days a week for going on three years can do that to a fellow. And who knows how many opportunities I missed to get my point across in those 4 weeks? At the same time, it will allow me to create better content in the months to come.

I say all that to say this: You cannot give of yourself every single day. But on the days you do give, give your all. That way no one will ever be able to say you were slack in your efforts. You only get one chance to make a first impression. What kind of impression do you want to make?
