Try Something Different

There are so many ways you can exercise.  You can walk.  You can run.  You can lift weights.  You can do pilates.  You can take a yoga class.  You can jog.  You can do calisthenics.  You can play basketball or bad mitten or go golfing.  You can take a dance class.  You can do functional outdoor workouts like flipping tires or chopping wood.  I could go on and on.  If you’re not enjoying a certain type of exercise, I assure you that something out there will keep your attention.  All you have to do is find out what it is.

I, personally, go to the weight room at least 4 times a week and lift.  Why?  Because it helps me achieve certain strength goals.  But 2 days out of a 7 day week, I’m outside working to condition my body for necessary functional activity if ever needed (ex. – chopping wood for fire if the power goes out, pushing a car in case I ever need to, or hand to hand combat if ever I have to defend myself or family in the future).  Switch your workouts up.  Incorporate different muscle groups.  Do that and I bet you’ll be happier with the outcomes.


Make your health a priority.
