But What Did You Accomplish?

I’ve been looking through résumés lately and, over and over again, all I’m seeing are job descriptions. It’s ok to (tactfully) brag on your résumé. Not only is it ok, it is necessary for you to separate yourself in the professional world. Now, in a job that is manual, you don’t want to be that boastful but if you’re applying for an 8-5 corporate job, speak on what you bring to the table and what you’ve brought to the table in past experiences. Statements like “Currently, six mentees serving institutions in a leadership capacity previously trained in positions under my leadership,” makes all the difference in the world.

Believe me, you were made to be set apart from the crowd. Live our your purpose.

Make professional development a priority.
