The Turning Point

Age is just a number, right? Yes and no. Age is a number but it’s one that holds more weight than any other number because it directly correlates with time. Yesterday, I turned 30 years old and, I must say, I feel a bit of weight as a result. I feel like I am at a point where I can no longer make certain mistakes. No more “I’m in my twenties” as an excuse. I am well aware that, for all decisions, there are resulting benefits or consequences. I am also aware that, in everything, you give and gain something.

Life is short. Time is finite. Days, even those that feel long, all end after twenty-four hours. Very little is as serious as we make it out to be.

My first thirty years were exactly what they were meant to be. Just as every day of the remainder of my life is. I appreciate the role that everyone in my life to this point has played and, if nothing else, you’ve been a lesson which became a blessing.

Here’s to another 30 years of growth.

Make enjoying each day a priority.
