Take The Snow Day to Get Better

“Preparation + Opportunity = Success.” — Unknown

I had a snow day today. I used it to do everything I would do if I had a day to work on myself. I photographed, wrote, lifted, read, planned, and modified plans.

What do you do with your down days? Be they Saturdays or random days you didn’t expect off, are you improving yourself? Are you making yourself an expert in what you want to do or what you’ve been doing?

I love relaxing. Who doesn’t? And, sometimes, we need to relax. But do we need to relax for 4 hours a night? Do we need to relax all day Saturday? No, we don’t. Not if we aren’t where we want to be in life. There is always something to be learned.

If no one else believes in your ability to succeed, I believe in it. But only if you take those days that you have free and use them to get better.

Make professional development a priority.
